Served apprenticeship with Common Bros gained F.G Mates Certificate. Left the sea to get married & entered Computers, (was a new thing then) a huge I.B.M machine that ran the whole office. Was Computer Room Operator for Taylor Woodrow.

Then moved to an American Oil Prospecting Co in the Red Sea as Skipper of a Dynamite Shot Sounding Vessel with a mass of computers on board.

Then to an Electronics Company as Computer Manager. Now semi retired and enjoying my cruiser on the River Thames most weekends.
