Rules and Frequently Asked Questions

    General rules and guidlens

While debating and discussion is fine, we will not tolerate rudeness, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts. Our decision is final in these matters.

Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) non-sense posts, or the such.

Advertising, spamming and trolling is not allowed. This includes using the forum email and private message system to spam other members.

We also do not allow posts that are sexual in nature. The PWSTS moderation team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate PWSTS community standards.

Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed.

We reserve the right to remove offensive posts without notice.

If you are going to post non-English on these forums, please also post an English Translation of your post.

Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure this forum is not disrupted or abused in any way.

You cannot post any affiliate or referral links, or post anything asking for a referral. Such posts will be subject to removal.

We also reserve the right to ban anyone who wilfully violates the forum rules, as access to our PWSTS forum is a privilege and not a right. Any threads/posts of these types will be deleted.

How do you add an avatar or photograph by a user name?

1. Log onto the forum and click on your name at the top of the page where it says 'Logged in as Fred Bloggs'.

2. Then click on avatar.

3. Your profile will then appear and you can edit it, plus add an avatar. You'll find some good images in the library but you can also add your own file or photograph as other members have done. Once uploaded click on the photograph and then click select.

How do you add a photograph to a new topic or when replying to a topic?

Once you have uploaded a photograph/picture to the web add the web address for the image (not the web page address). For example the web address for the PWSTS site is www.pwsts.org.uk but to just upload the PWSTS logo from that page the following address would be used www.pwsts.org.uk/newlogo.gif that's because the image on the page has been saved as newlogo.gif

To test just type www.pwsts.org.uk/newlogo.gif in your browser and you should only see the PWSTS badge.

Alternatively, if you see a good photo on the internet you can use the same principle. If you right click the image and select ‘save as’ it will tell you the name of the file (newlogo.gif for example). From that information you should be able to work out the web address. Sometimes you’ll see little white boxes containing red crosses on the forum where images should be. That’s because the web page containing the image that we’ve linked too is either down or no longer online.

If you encounter difficulties just send an email and we’ll see if we can assist.
