I was at PWSTS in August 1961 ending up from Leading Boy to Petty Officer. I went to sea on the 15th November joined Port Line "Port Phillip" to Australia, only stayed in MN for a very short time, had a few shore side jobs before ending up on the cross channel ferries on the catering side. I ended up as Senior Assistant Purser before retiring after 32 years.

I enjoyed my stay at the PWSTS. I pass the school quite often and she's looking in a terrible state. I think they're pulling it down as there are bulldozers ripping up the parade ground.

 

The photo with the lady was taken up in London on a PWSTS function I think her name is Dorothy Squires but I could be wrong!
